3D-Tool Free Viewer - free 3D Viewer
Visualize DDD, STL and 3MF files professionally
The Free Viewer is not a trial version, but permanently free software with many 3D-Tool measurement functions and analysis tools. The intuitive operation makes it easier for everyone to evaluate 3D designs and speeds up collaboration.
In addition to 3D-Tool DDD files, the Free Viewer also opens 3MF and STL files. This makes it an efficient, free tool for 3D printing, rapid prototyping and quick inspection of 3D models.
The Free Viewer runs on any Windows PC. The compact installer requires no registration. Installation is straightforward and usually possible without admin rights. Use is free – with no advertising and no time limit.

Test CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo, Autodesk, X_T, STEP and more
A licensed version of the 3D-Tool Viewer is required to create DDD files. After installation, you can request a free trial key:
- The trial key activates all functions and import formats, including CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, I-DEAS, Creo, Inventor, Solid Edge, Navisworks, Rhino, JT, X_T, STEP, IGES, VDA and SAT.
- The trial key activates conversion of these CAD formats to STEP, IGES, JT, SAT and X_T.
- The trial key activates publishing in the 3D-Tool DDD format, as 3D-PDF and as an HTML page.
- The trial key activates saving to many 3D visualization formats, including 3DS, 3MF, OBJ, PLY, FBX and glTF.
Publish CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo and Autodesk
With a Premium license, 3D-Tool opens a wide range of CAD files: native formats from many CAD programs, 3D exchange formats such as JT, STEP and IGES, and 2D formats such as DWG and DXF.
All models and drawings can be published directly or with annotations and dimensions. This is how 3D-Tool becomes a universal tool for coordination, control and documentation - from development to sales.
Publish your designs as:
- DDD files for the 3D-Tool Free Viewer
- 3D-PDF for Acrobat Reader
- HTML pages for modern browsers
- JT files for the free JT2Go
