”Since November 2007 we have been using the 3D-Tool software regularly to visualize IGES, STEP,  and Parasolid files. We were very happy with the kind of sectioning the software offered on 3D objects, but it would have been even more useful, if the resulting 2D section curves were able to be output in DXF format for further processing in our 2D CAD software we use to prepare engineering drawings.
So, shortly after purchasing this product we approached the developers to incorporate this additional functionality in the 3D-Tool software. We then received what we thought was a standard reply, that the request would be assessed and possibly acted upon in future releases. We never actually thought more of it thereafter. However, when earlier this year we upgraded to release 8.5 we were very pleasantly surprised that the extra feature had actually been added to the program.
